Bak Kut Teh @ Klang Town

Well yeah, another eat-out trip. I really should pay more attention to my health because if you know me well, i eat like there's no tomorrow, down all the high cholesterol stuff and what not because when i am eating, i just don't give a shit about its nutrition content. As long as it tastes good, then so be it, I'll be eating it.

So anyway, the usual bunch of us went for a meal of super sinful Bak Kut Teh, with loads of fat, oil and cholesterol throw into the pot.

Served alongside with the BKT, the yau char kuey was delicious, either on its own, or when its dunked into the BKT soup.

There was, Chid and ATS.

King and Li Chieh

Ty, Jason and Shon. We all woke up at an ungodly hour of 8 in the morning, mind you it was a Sunday just to make sure that out favorite parts of the meat is still available.

As old fashioned as it may sound, the restaurant provides old kettles which keep the water hot, and the tea making is DIY, in this sense you gotta pour the hot water and brew the tea yourself.

Digging into the food.

Already halfway through.

Now, comes the final verdict for the meal. The Bak Kut Teh soup certainly did not disappoint, it was thick, the aroma was pitch perfect and the oommpphhh was definately there. On the other hand, the meat was soft, tender and really juicy. One downside of this BKT style ( the other being the claypot style) is that there was only meat and soup served, and additional orders only include chicken feet and pork intestines. They do not have the extras such as Fu Chuk, Tau Foo Pok, Button Mushrooms and so on. Yeah so a little lacking on the variety part.

Anyway, i'll be doing another review on the claypot style BKT ASAP, so who wants to join me for round 2? Let's go again!

After a heavy meal, (did i tell you i ate until i could feel my heart and stomach bursting open?) we went for some apprently very popular ice kacang in a cup ( something like slurpee, but way better) at Taman Pandamaran in Klang.

Which also serves by the way, really good fried chicken. Direction wise, anything just check it out with Jason, i wasn't paying much attention on the road because i din't drive there.

So anyway, that's my BKT outing, definitely going for another very soon. See you around !
