Think it's easy? Well

Was doing the run around the whole week working out the share application.

I though, alright, I did not get anything, but at least, my back up plan sort of worked lah. Somehow still managed to get my dirty ass into some IPO shares lah.

SO YES NOW DAMN STRESS everyday in front of the computer screen watching the stock exchange.

People, I tell you its super kan cheong ok. SUPER DUPER kan cheong. In some ways better than playing baccarat lah if you're daring enough.

Yeah it went up a mini bit, and I was so damn happy I went and splurge on sushi to celebrate my mega minuscule win. Then, when I was eating I heard my broker said it slipped abit.

And I fucking choked on my salmon.

And I died.

No lah, I just shitting you all. It slipped but went back up and then hey, it closed back at an OK point for today. So, taking everything into consideration. I'm cool with it man, hey. Make money can already lah.

So anyway, that wasn't the point of me writing this entry. Eh just screw the paragraph up there if you don't understand what's going on. Doubt anyone will anyway.

To cut a long story short, I was down in Singapore a couple of weeks back. Please note the "a couple of weeks back' aite, and as usual, awesome.

I was there for the Nuffnang Gala Awards Dinner, but I think the event itself deserves another entry on its own all together.

So now back to the point,

Eh wait, wrong picture. I wanted to write about the super awesome german food and drinks I had in Vivocity. But you know since I look relatively erm............ok in that photo, I'll just leave it there lah.

So while I was in Singapore, I had the awesome company of great friends who were so willing to teman and keep me company out for a nice meal u know. One of my close friend said,

" Tysern, in NTU if people wanna eat with you during CA and exam time, THEY SUPER GIVE YOU FACE ALREADY, can consider yourself menteri besar already."

Ok hehe, thank you people for your time. Really thank you man guys! Thanks for making me feel like a VIP for a weekend kayz???!!!

The pictures are extremly non halal. And JAIS or whatever "anti freedom rave people" seeing this would probably be going " AH YA TUHANKU , TUTUP SKRIN SEKARANG. JANGAN TENGOK LAGI, JANGAN JANGAN. CEPAT CEPAT, TEKAN X". Yes I'm still feeling a little shitty for not getting my beer INSIDE the rave.

This pork knuckle was very ons. Seriously. I though the German Restaurant @ The Curve whips up mean pork knuckles, but this one had the extra crispy skin. The skin alone deserves an award on its own.

You won't go wrong with a plate of total BATANG FEST. Sausages ANY COLOUR, SIZE, TYPE, TEXTURE, HARDNESS also got on this plate. Got added mayonaise also.

I always though kai hong yuk sucks lah, but this chicken breast was good. Got flavour one, suprisingly. Not like the lauya piece of chicken breast the Nuffnang Blog Awards served.

If tysern goes all the way to a German Restaurant in SG and does not order beer, shit can be eatan already. Patrick didn't even ask me whether I felt like having beer that night. He was like, so Tysern, you ordering the 1 litre one ah?!

And yes about the beer, YAH PAULANER BEER DAMN NICE. Of course comparing Tiger and Carlsberg would be like comparing Proton with BMW or Mercedes lah. If you wanted to know, one can of tiger from giant, RM 4.59. But about 1/2 a litre of paulaner set us back about SGD 14-15, I THINK? With that money, can drink tiger or carlsberg until you vomit man.

Me giving the all clear sign on the food quality.

Jacq, Pat and Cheez.

Legend, Ty and Chong. Alot of people ask me, WAH U GOT ONE FREN DAM COOL LAH HIS NAME, LEGEND. Then I say, yeah his siblings are history and myth. ZOMG damn lame I know.

My friend thinks he damn leng chai lah in this photo, model material. So ok lah, here's a little bit of shamless self promotion for him.

All in all I loved the food there. People DO GO and try it out for yourselves.

Hahh, ironically, I forgot the restaurant name. If you want you can ask my friends. But I do know that its one of the only german restaurants in Vivo City, its facade is facing the lake, and probably on the Ground Floor. Oh yeah and i think, it starts with a B or sth like that lah.

Pictures are from Pat and Legend. I think my cam batt died or sth like that.

Do have a great weekend people. I can roughly figure out how mine will end up, actually.

Who's the Family Guy?

Wah Hello. Ooohh, I am a happy man today because I finally found one goddamned DVD shop which actually sells the Family Guy series on DVD.

It was 30 bucks for the whole of season 7 but I ain't no bothered. I'm watching it till my TV explodes.

Yah so anyway, what to show you guys?!

Alright, let me think for a second.

Oh shit. It's been too long for this, but how can I forget some must see pictures from my last rave @ A Famosa.

P/s:- You know, I said I wanted to post this up 2 months ago, but oh well.

So anyway, here's the story. First timers were the likes of Kev, Chuan and Chongx and boy, I'm glad they had their own share of fun.

I mean like how the fuck can you not like raves with tysern lah?

Now, Guys pack like the girls. Or even, more than the girls. 2 nights only, but why the hell the suitcases. Don't ask me, not mine.

Could get any better leaving for Malacca.

Reached in the evening, and

We hentamed the Satay Celup. Now if you did read my blog previously, my last also absofuckinglutely awesome trip to Malacca did involve satay celup also. But that was at Capitol Satay Celup which required lots of waiting for a table. now if you're lazy waiting, hop over to Ban Lee Siang, trust me, it tastes just excatly the same. But with less people.

Compared with the lok lok in KL, it was cheaper than cheap prostitutes.

No, seriously, with the likes of only 50-70 cents per stick, WHERE TO FIND LA?! ( The min in KL is already Rm 1.20 + until Rm 4.00)

And away we go eating.

and

and

by the time we got back to the A Famoso Condo, we were exploding.

Yes, so our condotel was probably a very sinful place, but how can you not have fun with danger, heh

The last drink you'll probably crave after all that was the box of mineral water.

Like duh we ran out of mixers, and when I was @.@, I think i used the beers as the mixer. OMG
No wonder die lah.

And after raising a few glasses,

We were all set to go in.

Lining up wasn't that long. Probably only a 5 minute wait. Thank god there were alot of queue lines.

Our tickets. Haha.

Photos of us. Lazy to type captions. Heh

And so the funny thing was, we were drinking outside the raving area. And we were out of bottles, so we just poured whiskey and mixed it into coke bottles. And off we go drinking our coke, AND YES offering it to random passer-bys . And that's how they gave us the beer. No H1n1 fear here man.

Pics and Videos on the ACTUAL RAVE CROWD will be up once I upload them to youtube.

FM Radio Cash Competitions - Who wins?!

Now, let's just think about it for a moment.

100k cash, one winner everyday. Just bash in a few keys on your phone, send them the sms. And If you're chosen, you walk away with a minimum sum of RM 1000 cash, to a maximum of RM 4000 cash.

Sound easy? Hell yeah. Who does not want money like that.

I'm betting with ya guys you know what competition this is. You would probably know if you pay close attention to the radio stations, its as you guessed, RED FM's 4 PLAY

If you're still wondering what the hell this is all about, click here.

As lifted off from their website,

"Win your share of RM100,000 with Red FM's Fourplay with Acer....Red FM's biggest cash giveaway - ever!!

We've hand-picked four songs:

Nelly & Kelly - Dilemma

Mariah Carey - Without You

Kelly Clarkson - Because of You

Lady Gaga - Just Dance

All you have to do is listen out all day...Fourplay could happen at any time! When we play any one song in full, you stand a chance to win RM1000, and the money goes up if we play more of the four songs, in any order. This means two songs gets you RM2000, three songs gets you RM3000, and if you hear all four songs you could win RM4000!

Once you've registered, text PLAY space to 33988 when you hear any of the Fourplay songs. (each SMS costs RM0.50)

We'll pick an SMS at random and call you back. Please make sure you answer within three rings...if you don’t, or if the call goes to voicemail/call waiting, then we'll pick another number to call."

If you're lazy to read what the heck it's all about, I'll summarize the competition into 4 bloody easy steps.

1. Listen to red.fm
2. If they play any of those 4 songs above, start your sms bombing.
3.If they call you back, well congratulations, you win money.
4.If they don't, prepare to be fucked at the end of the month when you receive your phone bill.

Now, what pisses me off is how the way the competition is handled. Yes, I've been following this competition closely and as such, yeah you got it right, sent it my share of sms-es to red.fm.

Then today, god knows what enlightened me to actually pen this out. Maybe some of my brain cells just woke up from the RM 100,000 cash dream. It suddenly all made sense.

WHO WINS?! The radio listeners or red.fm?

WHO THE HELL MAKES THE MONEY?

Put in simple words, since one sms costs Rm 0.50, red.fm only has to wait for 2000 sms-es to come in, and after that, any sms that goes their way is PURE FUCKING EASY MONEY for them to make.

And the worst part, there ain't no limit to how many sms-es one person can send, baby. The more you send, the more they make. They more they get richer.

The more the contest directors go,

"Oh FUCK ME BABY, MORE MONEY COME COME COME.

Yeah, send in more. I CAN HEAR THE CASH BELLS RINGING.
OHH SHIT LOOK AT THIS NUMBER, GIMME GIMME MORE MONEY. "

You get the point right. It is clearly stated that they promised to give out their share of RM 100,000 cash, BUT ARE THEY ACTUALLY GIVING OUT CASH IN THE END?

Or is this some fucking making money business scheme for them to make back even more money in the end?

Just think about the possibilities. If they receive 10,000 sms-es ( which costs the nation RM 5,000) and if they give out only RM 1,000, that's a cibai clean profit of RM 4,000 for them. You can even minus off the whatever admin fee, worker's overhead and what not excuses, and still make money.

So now you tell me, are they REALLY GIVING OUT MONEY, or just MAKING MORE MONEY?

Yes, some may argue, on some days, they give out more than RM 1,000. But can't you guys see that this has already been fucking calculated how much money they give out everyday. In simple basic common sense, if they have already made an average of RM 2,000 for ten days, WHAT HURTS TO GIVE OUT RM 2,000 for one special day. HECK, they can even afford to give RM4,000 and they still WILL MAKE.

I'm sure all of you guys can see the point CLEARLY NOW. They claim to be giving out RM 100,000, but in actual fact, they're making our poor money from this.

You can say, Eh, but got real-time winners worr. Man this guy just pocketed RM2,000 leh.

Fine let me show you again, if you didn't get it, HOW THIS WORKS.

Everything left in the sieve is all THEIRS.

And the worst thing is, they can actually monitor how many god damn sms-es are coming in. This means that they can slowly wait for them to hit a good target, probably around 20,000 sms-es (which is RM 10,000 cash FOR THEM) and they give out a mere average of RM1,000 to one person only.

Look here red.fm, if you really wanted to be fair, you would have imposed at least these few steps, such as;

1. One sms per person, In This Way, since you're choosing the number at random to call back, it would be PURE LUCK for that person to walk away with cash.

2. Fine, IF you do not want to adopt method 1, then at least charge normal sms rates, and not rip people off at RM 0.50 cents per sms.

3. Better still, make people call in and then answer one call at random. At least this way, when the line's engaged, there ain't no charge for those people who did not get it. And you'll be putting YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS, that's where you're really giving away RM 100,000.

Now, I may have got some facts about how the competition is run, wrong, or I may have written some points out of proportion. On my part, I would be more than glad to actually remove this whole article OFF MY BLOG and actually apologise for writing rubbish, if there is some kind of prove that they are actually GIVE AWAY the RM100,000 as it is.

How?!
If there is a true and verified statement showing the actual number of sms-es they receive each day, then everyone can work out their profits/ actual cash give away.

I'm sure I do not only represent myself, but a whole lot more other people into knowing the actual figure behind this competition.

Just a little tip to you guys out there still busy sms-ing: Think again who's winning when you're busy typing out the sms-es. And yes, learn from me. I've been sms-ing since the start of day one, and here I am, with nothing on my hand.

I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about right?! Geddit?!

Jetsaver Lite Challenge, 2D 1N in Singapore.

The trip was awesome to begin with. Everything from the planning, the accommodation and everything else was probably one notch above magical. This visit to Singapore was in conjunction and thanks to Jetstar Lite Fares, where as quoted :-

"JetSaver Light fares have no checked baggage allowance. Carry on baggage limits, including size restrictions, will be strictly applied. Passengers with more than the applicable carry on baggage allowance will need to check in baggage..........,"

And in return for not checking in any excess baggage, Jetstar will slash off a standard fee off your airfare, which in turn can be used for more shopping, food and beverage and almost everything else you can think of doing with that extra savings.

And for us, this was how the extra savings of Rm 70 (+- SGD 30) per person was neatly put to very very good use.

Getting up and ready, in the morning for the awesome visit to SG.

With all the documents in place,

And with almost all the teams making their grandest arrival,

It was time to board the plane and jet off,

For an Airline which boasts maximum value for the price, I would say the overall seat setup was relatively comfortable, and great.

And here we are, arriving in Singapore.

The hotel staff was even kind enough to send over a representative to greet us and make sure we get safely to the hotel.

And with everyone arriving safely ( there were 10 teams for the Light Challenge)

We were put up to a night at the plush Grand Mercury Roxy Hotel, just right opposite Marina Parade.

Random photo taking while waiting to check into our rooms.

Now everyone would ask. How in the world can all this get better?! How can you make awesome, super awesome? I mean come on, the fully sponsored airfare, the service, the send off, and welcoming was probably something that would only happen in a dream ( but yes, it happened with Jetstar too). But yet somehow and someway, Jetstar and Grand Mercury Roxy made it happen, effortlessly. Dude, you guys get 5 stars from me, and my travel partner, Chris, easily.

When we were presented the room keys shortly after arriving, JENG JENG JENG

FUIYOH. The room has practically any $#1t you can ask for. From;

Bathroom robes, Ironing Board with a Steam Iron ( yes don't laugh, I've walked into a hotel where they provided us with an Ironing Board, but there was charge to rent an iron), a Safe Deposit Box,

A swanky LCD TV for entertainment purposes.

A fully stocked minibar, with Instant Noodles, Snacks, Beers, Soft Drinks and so forth,

Heck it, the Hotel was even kind enough to make sure were over cloud nine by making us happy by getting us a WELCOME GIFT. Tell me, who in the world does that? Wait I know. Grand Mercury Roxy and Jetstar. And by the neat welcome letter, was two welcome drinks by the Poolside Bar.

The drinks voucher.

They were even thoughtful enough to provide us a touring map of Singapore, as well as a brochure of the latest happenings in town.

And above all, the ever spacious and comfy room.

And since the sun was shinning down brightly and the weather was perfect, we decided to warm up by the bar with our complimentary Singapore Sling Cocktails. Yeah I mean Sg's so creative with coming up with their signature Welcome to Singapore Drinks, Malaysia should just follow suit with something like Malaysia Madness or something like that. You know, just dump in some fruit juice with a little bit of vodka and brandy, and people will go nuts over it.

So anyway, @ the Roxy Bar.

Weather was perfect for fine cocktail sipping Al Fresco Experience.

Magically whipping up our drinks.

This is how you do it, uhuh.

Chris, my super awesome, entertaining and informative travel partner,

Me, by the poolside bar. You know, this pic makes me feel so damn atas "high class" because I probably would not be able to afford all these as a student and would be too kiam siap to spend on these little luxuries all on my own. So thanks to Jetstar and Grand Mercury Roxy, I'm milking the moment while I can, heh.

After treating ourselves luxuriously, we set off to the highlight of the trip. With our given pocket money of SGD 30, we had to strategically budget our spending as to not go over the daily limit. And here's our share of story on how, we somehow managed to do it, getting involved in alot of fun, excitement and freebies thrown in along the way.

No 5 On the List, Shopping and More Shopping.

First stop, we hit the MRT to the Orchard Stop. And that's where all the shopping began.

Toured the whole street, all the way from Takashimaya @ Orchard

to the Fountain of Wealth @ Suntec City,

The fountain of wealth.

And right at the time, they were having a food fest,

with loads of goodies to choose from.

And finally after all the walking and decision making, I got myself a Singapore Tee from Giordano as a souvenir to take home.

Next at No 4, Sightseeing around town.

Probably the best and cheapest way to get a true blue feel of Singapore, we went out armed with only our camera's and with our pair of sharp eyes, we basked in the beauty of Singaporean architecture.

We came across some star attractions, soon to be attractions and classic must not miss Singapore Tourist Spots.

The Merlion.

And while we're at the Merlion, we managed to witness some Dragon Boat Fest going on.

Theaters on the bay @ The Esplanade.

Singapore CBD @ Night.

Clarke Quay during nightfall.

Pubs and Clubs around Clarke Quay.

My Star Jump @ The Merlion.

Those pictures above speak for their own beauty, doesn't it. The fascinating blend of the different hues and tones of color at night, coupled up with the full regalia of the magnificent structures just adds a touch of beauty to what our eyes could capture in one day.

Following up at number 3, Eating and Filling our Stomach all round the clock.

The Chip Shop Rocks.

Gosh, in Singapore, everyone gotta try these fried MARS BARS. They're so good, it's like stuffing a whole pound of pleasure down your taste buds. Hot and crisply on the outside, cool, sweet and soothing on the inside.

My face immediately lit up once i chewed on the magical-make-anyone-happy-balls.

Their bacon burger was out of this world. Never tasted anything so tender like that in Malaysia.

Chris on the other hand did not even stop pushing his stomach to the limit with Long John's Silvers @ Shaw House.

And if you think we're done with eating, NOT YET. We were far from done. For dinner, we hopped on the MRT to Newton, where we had:-

At Newton's Food Court at night.

And as fate would have brought me on this trip, I bumped into my long lost childhood friend at the Newton MRT Station. And off we go, the 3 of us ( Me, Chris and Nick) for dinner.

Nick and Me.

Fried Egg Carrotcake.

Sg's version of the Penang Oh Chien. Gotta tell you, it was not bad at all man. I especially liked the fresh big oysters.

You can never get too much food in your life.

Strong at Number 2, We Conquered Singapore's Nightlife. Now the famous quote, "Who ever comes to Sigapore without partying the night away. No one"

Even before we made our Grand Arrival at the Zirca Megaclub, we were pumped up for Star Jump Shots.

@ Zirca, Clarke Quay.

To our delight, it was our own Malaysian superstars, the Bass Agents spinning! And thanks to them, we managed to enter under their guestlist, meaning we went clubbing in Singapore for FREE!

The awesome party people.

After a few rounds of drinks with my friends, everyone was happy and ready to go.

We were even jumping up and down IN THE CLUB.

Bass Agents dishing out cutting edge music.

Scot Project with his Stage Appearance.

There are no boundaries when you're having fun.

And that was our super eventful night venture.

Now, comes the final highlight of the trip. And here's where I give the number 1 spot to.

Probably the most awesome part of the trip is to be selected by Jetstar to actually be part and parcel of the magical and wonderful experience. Nothing, and I repeat nothing listed above would happen without the effort of Jetstar Airways and Grand Mercury Roxy hotel.

And this is why being selected on this trip is probably the biggest and most important thing to happen to me and Chris, for without the selection and special savings of SGD 30 per person, we would not be able, to come to Singapore and go through the special events listed as above.

The SGD 30 spending money given per person came in super handy to actually cover for the entertainment expenses. Here's the breakdown of where the money actually went to.

Bus ride from hotel to Singapore Flyer = SGD1
(SGD30 - SGD1 = SGD29)

Fried Mars Bars with ice cream = SGD3.80
(SGD29 - SGD3.80 = SGD25.20)

Super Bacon Burger! SGD4.50
(SGD25.80 - SGD4.50 = SGD21.30)

After a whole afternoon of shopping and walking Orchard Road, we headed to Newton Food Court by MRT = SGD0.80
(SGD21.30 - SGD0.80 = SGD20.50)

Carrot cake = SGD2
(SGD20.50 - SGD2 = SGD18.50)

Duck Rice = SGD2
(SGD20.50 - SGD2 = SGD18.50)

Fried Oyster (Hor Chien) = SGD4
(SGD18.50 - SGD2 = SGD16.50)

Little India for some sightseeing and shopping.
MRT = SGD0.50
(SGD16.50 - SGD0.50 = SGD16)

Taxi back from Clarke Quay to hotel = SGD9
Cost shared (SGD16 - SGD4.50 = SGD11.50)

Changi Airport to catch our flight back. Bus ride was only SGD1.50
(SGD11.50 - SGD1.50 = SGD10)

And finally, I spent my last SGD 10 on a T Shirt Souvenier to be brought back to Malaysia ( Giordano Tee)

And if you think that SGD 30 can't get you much in this current economy, think again how me and Chris did everything as said above.

But as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end.

It's back to Changi and bye bye Singapore.

You cannot blame me and Chris for not wanting to leave right, Jetstar?!

Once again, my thanks goes out to Jetstar and Grand Mercury Roxy Hotel for making my trip and entertainment in Singapore a 100% Dream turned into Reality.

See you guys soon enough!
